I was going to take pictures of the radio station, too, but an employee came outside and greeted me in a most inhospitable way, so I left.

Now closed, and it's a shame. They made some great sandwiches.

This was the headquarters for GTE South, the local phone company. The building was used as the state operations center following the 1989 transfer of the headquarters to Tampa, Florida.

This is not the 4100 Roxboro Road address. In the 1990s this facility housed the GTE Customer Billing group serving GTE Florida and GTE South. The company is now named Verizon after its acquired by Bell Atlantic.

A few months later, I met a truck driver who transports these blue dumpsters in Durham. I have a feeling it's the same guy who lined these up: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:2008-11-11_Unloading_dumspter_from_a_truck.jpg

Not bad food, but overpriced, and the service is slow, which does not make up for the price. I won't pay to eat here again.
